This week we bid adieu to our listeners and encourage them to visit Matt and Peter at The ColdFusion Weekly and Ryan and Jeff at The Flex Show. Thanks to all our loyal supporters over the past year+ . Bryan will be doing some neato stuff in the future, so don't delete the bookmark or the feed!
Guys, say it ain't so. :-) Of course, we do appreciate that the show's a lot of work and are sure the decision wasn't easy. Still, you will be (as you have been) missed.
I'll add that no one says it has to be weekly, or even on a fixed recurring basis at all, so glad to hear that you will continue to at least publish some content occasionally. Not all of us listen on a weekly basis anyway. I have plenty of podcasts where I just go check out on my Ipod when I feel like hearing something. That raises another point: you don't NEED to always be on topical stuff.
Speaking of that, I've been considering a new podcast myself, that won't be topical "what's new" stuff but instead just useful info that most developers would benefit hearing. The beauty of the podsphere is that a specific show can reach a specific (even small) audience. We shall see.
In the meantime, we'll look forward to hearing what your "news" is in coming weeks, and of course we all want to thank you guys for the year of shows and wish you well in the future ventures.
Thanks so much for all you've done. Really, really appreciate it. Your podcasts certainly made my life easier trying to learn Coldfusion and Fusebox. It also made me feel part of the Coldfusion community as it is a language that doesn't have such a big web prescence as say PHP. Listening put a smile on my face whilst commuting into work on the bus which is no easy task in the morning! Kept me up to date. Introduced me to new technologies and sources of information. Invaluable. Thanks again and hope to hear from you again sometime.
